Lebanese cities, once jewels of the Mediterranean, are facing immense hardship. Behind every damaged building, disrupted public service, school to rebuild and family in difficulty lies a story of resilience and hope. Solidarity has no borders. A gesture, a donation or a voice can change the course of events. Through this initiative, we stand together as Lebanon and reach out to those who continue to believe in a better future despite adversity. Lebanon is counting on us, and we are counting on the humanity that unites us.

Amid the turmoil facing the world, solidarity must remain the bond that unites peoples. For many years, Lebanon has faced a situation endured by its people, with each year proving more dramatic than the last.

In response, we call on everyone for whom Lebanon represents hope for peace in the Middle East to mobilize. A mosaic of cultures and a cradle of ancient civilizations, Lebanon is a unique example of coexistence. Supporting its cities and communities means supporting the diversity that once made it rich and that must help build peace tomorrow in a region scarred by years of conflict.

The Francophone family, to which Lebanon is deeply attached, is profoundly affected by the fate of this magnificent country. It is therefore natural for the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), together with all its member cities, to mobilize in support of development projects and Lebanese cities facing immense challenges.
